Blue Zone
Here at The Zone, its not all action packed sports and activities 24/7!It's very important to have a chill out zone. We've nominated Blue to represent it. Every camp has "The Hub" at the centre of it. This is our marquee where everyone can have their lunch and get out of the sun or indeed the rain. It's also our First Aid Post, Outdoor Management Centre and Tuck Shop which is available during breaks.
Lunch
Included in the cost is a lunch every day. Lunch will consist of soup, sandwich, crisps, fruit and water.Make sure that name badges are worn at all times as the colour of the badge will signify any dietary requirements that you told us about when booking.
This means our staff can easily recognise specialist food considerations and dish out lunches accordingly. An example of this would be to avoid allergic reactions to nuts!
First Aid
Safety and Security is our main concern at The Zone Activities and the Blue Zone is also our First Aid Post right at the centre of the camp.A separate tent is provided for privacy with a full time nurse during the hours of 10am to 4pm. This way everyone knows where to find it.
The nurse will be tied into our camp communications system for instant First Aid response. Unfortunately accidents do happen however much care you take!
Tuck Shop
To make sure all tastes are catered for and that we supply everything needed to ensure the children stay on site a tuck shop will be available during down time.This will include sweets, crisps, juice and pop. Water however, will be available at all times free of charge. The Hub will also be the base for our Outdoor Manager who will look after the smooth running of all outside activities. There will be 4 designated fire wardens in case of evacuation and a Safe Zone clearly marked for all to find where children will be expected to congregate in the event of evacuation.
