Creative Writing
The creative writing programme will consist of writing short stories, mini dramas, poems and limericks. This activity is ideal for the young J. K. Rowling out there who has a love of story telling and drama.The programme will culminate with performances of a short play written by those involved in the activity and again there might be a prize or two for those who capture the audience with their exciting stories and tales.
Modern Languages
The modern languages programme offers the participants the chance to learn basic language skills in either French or German and act out some scenes that one might find ones self in when travelling in these countries.The workshops will cover areas like food and shopping to going to the cinema. Those budding linguists that show they can converse with class with be up for a prize or two.
Art
The art programme will take the form of a week long project to create a chosen water colour scene from either the local picturesque surroundings or from a photograph of the artists' choice.This is definitely the activity to choose for you budding Picassos out there. There will be an exhibition of all of the art works at the end of the week with prizes up for grabs for those with the magic stroke.
Guitar
The music programme will be based around learning the basics of the acoustic guitar and developing the ability to read basic sheet music.If you have a passion for music and fancy a fun and interesting learning experience creating your own piece of music then this is the choice for you. Those who create the next number 1 will be up for a prize at the end of the programme.
Photography
The photography programme will cover the use of digital photography and show you how to download photographs to a computer and edit them.The focus of the photography work will take the form of a photo diary of the camp surroundings, the activities and people involved. The photographs will be processed on to disc for the budding photographers to take home at the end of the camp.
